The API returns a JSON object containing the predicted gender of the provided name or email, along with the accuracy of that prediction.
The key fields in the response data include "status" (indicating the request status), "gender" (predicted gender: male or female), and "accuracy" (percentage indicating prediction confidence).
The response data is structured in JSON format, with key-value pairs. For example, a typical response might look like: {"status":"OK","gender":"male","accuracy":100}.
The API supports gender prediction for names from over 160 countries, making it versatile for diverse user bases and international applications.
The endpoint accepts a single parameter, "name," which can be a person's name or an email address. For example, you can input "Martin" or "[email protected]".
Data accuracy is maintained through continuous updates and validation against extensive datasets, ensuring reliable gender predictions based on historical name-gender associations.
Common use cases include database sorting for customer segmentation, targeted marketing campaigns based on gender, and enhancing user experience through personalized content.
If the API cannot determine a gender, it may return a response with "gender" as null or an error status. Users should implement error handling to manage such cases gracefully.
