The Address Autocomplete endpoint returns complete address suggestions, including street names and postal codes. The City Autocomplete endpoint provides city names across the U.S., while the Zip Code Autocomplete endpoint suggests postal codes linked to specific cities. Each response includes relevant geographic data to enhance user experience.
Each response includes an "Id" for tracking, a "Result" array containing the suggested addresses, cities, or zip codes, a "ClientSessionId" for session management, a "StatusCode" indicating the request status, an "IsError" flag, and an "Errors" array for any issues encountered.
Users can customize their requests by including search parameters such as partial address, city name, or postal code. These parameters help refine the suggestions returned by the API, ensuring more relevant results based on user input.
The response data is structured in JSON format, with a clear hierarchy. The main object contains fields like "Id," "Result," and "StatusCode." The "Result" field is an array of suggestions, making it easy to parse and display in applications.
The data is sourced from reliable geographic databases that aggregate information from various public and private datasets. This ensures comprehensive coverage and accuracy for addresses, cities, and postal codes across the United States.
Common use cases include enhancing user experience in forms with address completion, validating shipping and billing addresses, and enriching databases with accurate location data. The API is suitable for e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, and internal systems requiring address interaction.
Users can leverage the returned suggestions to auto-fill forms, validate user input, and improve data accuracy in their applications. By parsing the "Result" array, developers can display suggestions dynamically as users type, enhancing usability.
Data accuracy is maintained through regular updates and quality checks, ensuring that the information reflects current geographic realities. The API employs algorithms to validate and normalize addresses, reducing errors in user submissions.
