The Interactive LME Pricing Insights API designed to provide accurate and up-to-date information on metals prices (LME).
The API returns price data using different currencies of choice as a basis, ensuring consistency and simplicity for international use. One of its main features is the ability to obtain current and historical prices for various metals listed on the London Metal Exchange (LME), such as aluminum (LME-ALU). Each answer includes not only the price of the metal in USD, but also the inverse rate, allowing users to easily calculate how many dollars are needed to purchase a single unit of metal. This is especially useful for applications that require dual conversion rates or bidirectional pricing tools.
To use this endpoint you must indicate a currencie and a symbol in the parameters.

The GET Latest Price endpoint returns the current price of specified LME metals in the chosen currency, along with the inverse rate for conversions. The GET Historical Price endpoint provides historical prices for specified metals on a given date, also in the selected currency and includes the inverse rate.
The response data includes fields such as "price" (current or historical price), "currency" (the currency used), "symbol" (metal identifier), and "inverse_rate" (conversion rate for purchasing a unit of metal).
For the GET Latest Price endpoint, you must specify a "currency" and "symbol." For the GET Historical Price endpoint, you need to provide a "currency," "date," and "symbol." This allows for tailored requests based on user needs.
The response data is structured in a JSON format, typically containing key-value pairs for price, currency, symbol, and inverse rate. This organization allows for easy parsing and integration into applications.
The GET Latest Price endpoint provides real-time prices and inverse rates for metals. The GET Historical Price endpoint offers historical price data for specified dates, enabling users to analyze trends over time.
The data is sourced from the London Metal Exchange (LME), ensuring high accuracy and reliability. Regular updates and checks are performed to maintain data integrity.
Typical use cases include trading applications, market analysis, and financial reporting. Users can leverage real-time and historical price data for decision-making in commodities trading.
Users can integrate the returned data into financial models, dashboards, or trading algorithms. The inclusion of inverse rates allows for straightforward calculations of costs associated with purchasing metals.
To obtain your API key, you first need to sign in to your account and subscribe to the API you want to use. Once subscribed, go to your Profile, open the Subscription section, and select the specific API. Your API key will be available there and can be used to authenticate your requests.
You can’t switch APIs during the free trial. If you subscribe to a different API, your trial will end and the new subscription will start as a paid plan.
If you don’t cancel before the 7th day, your free trial will end automatically and your subscription will switch to a paid plan under the same plan you originally subscribed to, meaning you will be charged and gain access to the API calls included in that plan.
The free trial ends when you reach 50 API requests or after 7 days, whichever comes first.
No, the free trial is available only once, so we recommend using it on the API that interests you the most. Most of our APIs offer a free trial, but some may not include this option.
Yes, we offer a 7-day free trial that allows you to make up to 50 API calls at no cost, so you can test our APIs without any commitment.
